Au entertainment in aid of the Taradalo district school prizo fund will be given in the new hall to-morrow evening, Rymcr's coach leaving Newton's corner at G. 30 p.m. Mr Monteith holds two auction sales of timber this week, one at the railway station, Hastings, on AVcdnesday, and the other at Glendinning's yards, Napier, on Thursday. The I-ifieVolunteers compete for poultry for Christmas dinner on the range on Saturday afternoon.
Messrs Hardy and Sidey have for sale, a very choice assortment of electro-plated and brittania metal tea-pots at popular prices. The Napier High School endowment block in AVairoa County will bo oifcred for sale for cash by auction at the Council Chamber, Napier, on the 17th January next, and the Board of Governors will bo willing to lend on mortgage for a term of ten years at G per cent, three-fourths of the purchase money. A cheque on the Napier branch of the National Bank has been lost, payment of which is stopped, and persons are cautioned against dealing with same. Mr E. T. Allen's picture frame, gilding, and mount cutting works is in Carlyle street, near Clive Square.
The Public AVorks Office invite tenders for the Kopuaranga contract on tho AVel-lington-Napicr railway, the formation of about eight miles. The finder of a gold seal, with two colored stones, lost between Carlyle street and Shakespeare road, will receive a reward of 5s on leaving same at the Daily Telegraph office.
An advertiser requires two bed-rooms and sitting-room for family at the end of this week.
