EMIGRATION TO BRITISH
COLUMBIA,
[To THE EDITOR OF THE DAILY TELEGRAPH.] Sin,- —Paragraphs arc appearing iv the papers to the effect that numerous settlers of the Napier and surrounding districts aro preparing to emigrate to British Columbia. This, if it be the case, is a serious matter, and the public aro interested in having the cause for such a step being taken fully explained. Further, if British Colambia offers better prospects to emigrants from Home than docs New Zealand it is only fair that our countrymen should be accurately informed in regard thereto. May I, Sir, bc-£- tbat some loading member of the emigration movement will, through your columns, fully inform the public oi the reasons which have led to such a step being contemplated.—l am, Seo., S.H.J.
