NARROW ESCAPE FROM SERIOUS TRAM ACCIDENT.
Dunedin, This day. Thero was a slight accident on the Roslyn tramAvay lino last evening. The man who was driving gripped the rope too quickly and the car jumped off the axle-tree. He then tried to put a brake on, but it did not
act, and the car began going cloavii hill at a fast rate. The passengers jumped off, but another driver Avho happened to be on the car rush6d to tho gripper, and got hold of the rope. One passenger fell and got a slight cut.
