Judgments Avere given for the plaintiffs in the folloAving cases:—S. E. Cooper v. T. Duckett, £10, with 12s costs; J. Sims v. H. D. Gardiner, £1 Bs, costs 7s; J. McVay v. C. G. Smyth, £5 15s, costs 12. Lee and Sheath v. D. Bell.—Mr Dewes appeared for the plaintiffs. Claim £24 Os Id. A, P. Sheath, solicitor, deposed he had rendered a bill of particulars, duly signed, and portion of tho bill for the bankruptcy proceedings had been taxed. Had received nothing since serving the summons. Had furnished tho notice of taxation to the trustee in the estate. Judgment for plaintiffs for amount with jEI 6s costs, and solicitor's fee £1 le.
Hansen and Nuttall v. AVilliam Broughton. —Mr Dewes for the defendant. Claim £8 19s lOd. The defence was that there was no agreement as to price, and that the price charged was unreasonable. Carl Hansen said it was not unusual to do work under the regular prices, so as to get hold of a job. The charges were reasonable. Henry Williams, ironmonger, deposed he had examined the work, Avhich he valued at £5 Bs, Avhich AA-as a fair estimate. Judgment for the plaintiffs for £6 10s, and costs 17s.
