November 29. Tho committee of the Chamber of Deputies has voted a sum of nine million francs to cover the expenses of the French expedition to Tonquin. The Marquis Tseng, the Chinese Ambassador, Avho has been in this city for some days for the purpose of carrying on negotiations Avith the French Government, will shortly return to England. November 30. A serious accident occurred to-day on the railway lino near Montfort, Brittany. Eighteen lives have been lost by the disaster, and fifteen passengers are suffering from serious injuries. The Government have decided to send reinforcements to Dc Brazzn, Avho is engaged in forming French trading stations in the Congo.
