MAILS CLOSE For Wellington, Southern ports, and Australian colonies, per Manapouri, tomorrow, at 1 p.m. For Gisborno and Auckland, per Tarawora, to-morrow, at 4 p.m. For Wairoa, per Manaia, to ■ morrow, at 4.2/5 p.m. For tho Sandwich Islandf-s, America, West Indies, the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, &c, via Sun Francisco, on Saturday, Bth of December, at noon. Money orders close at 10 a.m., registered letters at 11 a.m., and books and nowspapois at 11.30 a.m. A steamer of tho Orient line will leave Melbourne for London on the 14th December, and will arrive in London on 29th January. Correspondence for this route to bo specially addressed per Orient steamers. Postage is Sd per wOZ. The Penguin leaves Auckland for Levuka and Suva (Fiji) on the 17th December. J.
