Nominations to be made before the start for the Hack Race, and acceptances to bo notified to the Clerk of the Scales not later than 15 minutes after declaration of the weights. Rules and Regulations. No entry will be received for any race except upon the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall be final. No qualification fee. Tho rules and weights of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club will be strictly adhered to. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of tho stakes. All nominations, acceptances, and general entries, accompanied by tho necessary amount in cash, must bo addressed to the Secretary, and left at the Criterion Hotel, Napier, rot later than 8 p.m. on tho several undcrnoted dates. "Hack Hurdle Horse " is a horse that has never started in a weight-for-ago or handicap hurdle race or steeplechase. Maiden Plate—Of 25 soys., distance, l£ miles, weight-for-age; entrance £2 10s. For all horses that have never won 10 soys. or over at time of entry, hack races excepted. Any horso winning £25 after time of entry to carry 71b penalty. Railway Handicap—Of GO soys., second horso to receive 10 soys. from the stake, distance, 1 mile. Tho winner of the W.C.R. Handicap to carry 71b penalty. Nomination, 2 soys. ; acceptance, 3 soys. Hack Race—Of 10 soys., distanco 1 mile, catch weights. Post entrance, 1 soy. Consolation Rack—Of 10 soys., ono mile, for all beaten horses. Post entrance, 1 soy. RULES. No person allowed to enter a horso unless he is a subscriber of at least ono guinea to the Club. All disputes, claims, or objections to be decided by a majority of the stewards, or whom they may appoint, whose decision shall be final. All protests to be accompanied with a deposit of two guineas, to bo forfeited if the protest is considered frivolous. Three horses to start in each race, or only half tho money will bo given. "Hack" shall moan a horse that has never started in a weight-for-age or handicap race. Nominations for tho Maiden Plate (with ar*es of horses and colors of riders). Handicap Hurdle Race, W.C.R.C. Handicap, and tho Railway Handicap, accompanied by tho necessary amount in cash, must bo left with the secretary at Kaikora not later than 8 p.m. on tho Bth of December. Weights will appear on tho 15th of December. Acceptances for tho Handicap Hurdle Race, W.C.11.C. Handicap, and the Railway Handicap, accompanied by the neces • sary amount in cash, and colors of riders, must bo left with tho secretary not later than 8 p.m. on tho 22nd of December. Fivo per cent, deducted from tho gross amount of all stakes. All races run under the H.B. Jockey Club rules and weights.
