A concert in aid of the prize fund of the Spit district school will bo given in the school-room to-night, commencing at 8 o'clock.
Mr Montcith soils horses, harness, tea, oats, maize, &c, by auction at the Horse Bazaar at 11.30 a.m. to-morrow.
Tenders for cutting 170 acres of grass at Pakowhai will bo received by Mr Frank Collinge up to to-morrow. The evening train will not leave Napier to-morrow evening - till the conclusion of the performance nt the Theatre Royal. The dipped sheep for examination at Hastings on Wednesday next will be yarded at 9 a.m.
The sale of useful needlework by St. John's Ladies Work Societ} r next week will be held in St. John's school-room.
Tenders are invited for the supply of rations, fuel, ironmongery, clothing, and other necessaries to the prison at Napier from January 1 to December 31, 1884.
The Hawke's Bay County Council officially announces the taking over of certain roads, described in notice, as county roads under the Public Works Act.
The Napier Clothing Hall quotes prices for boys' and youths' lustre and silk coats, and men's cricketing and boating trowsers, just received. Messrs R. Hannah and Co., of the Hawko'sßay and Napier Cash Boot Market, publish a " Bootiful" yarn and a new price list.
An advertiser has an unfurnished sittingroom and bed-room on the hills to let.
Mr M. R. Miller inserts an amended list of sheep and cattle that he has for sale. Mr C. Selig, watchmaker and jeweller, Hastings, has a splendid description of watches, clocks, jewellery, and fancy goods cheap for cash. Mr Alexander Browne, draper, Hastingsstreet, is offering special value for the Christmas month.
Messrs Newton and Co. have hundreds of articles to choose from on their shilling and sixpenny tables. Four hundred and fifty bales of wool have already been received for Messrs Banner and Liddle'c sale on the 13th December. .
Messrs Blythe and Co. display fresh milinery in their windows every morning. Two force and two hand pumps, and COO sacks, are for sale at tho White Swan Brewery.
