PORT OF NAPIER ARRIVALS. November. 28—Maori, b.s.. from "Wuiroa. Passengers —Messrs Wright and McAllister. 28—Southern Cross, s.s., from Wellington. Passengers—Mrs Barley and family, Master Grazzini, Messrs Heslop, Edwards, and Grazzini. DEPARTURES. November. 28—Sir Donald, s.s., for Blackhead. 28—Weka, 8.5., for Southern coastal stations. o The Union Company's steamer Southern Cross, Captain Ross, from Wellington, arrived in the roadstead during the night, and ■was berthed inside at the breastwork this morning. She discharged her cargo, which was a largo one, during the day, and at 6.30 p.m. is to steam for Gisborne and Auckland. The s.s. Maori, H. Anderson master, returned from Wairoa at G o'clock last night, bringing a couple of passengers and a cargo of maize. She will be leaving again for the same place at 10 o'clock to-morrow night. The steamer Sir Donald, Captain Quinlau, took her departure for Blackhead at 7 o'clock last night for a load of wool. The s.s. Go-Ahead, Captain Plumley, is posted on the telegraph board as going to leave Wellington for this port at 6 o'clock last night, and would in that case be duo here by to-morrow morning. The steamer Weka, Captain Campbell, left for the coast last night to pick up a load of wool. The Union Company's steamer Manapouri, Capt. Logan, was to have left Auckland for Southern ports, Hobart, and Melbourne between 12 o'clock yesterday, and will be due hero on Saturday morning, being announced to steam for the South at 2 p.m. The ketch Why Not has been again placed in commission under the command of Mr J. Young, having taken her first load of wool off to the ships in the roadstead yesterday. Since being placed on the slip the Why Not has been thoroughly overhauled, repaired, and strengthened.

The repairs to the Rotomahana aro expected to bo completed so that she _ Avill bo ready for sea by Tuesday, in Avhich case she Avill make the next trip to Melbourne. The Ringarooma will not leave for Melbourne to-day, as was intended.
