APPEARANCE OF A COMET IN THE SOUTH.
Dunedin, This day. Tho Queonstown corespondent of Hie Star tolograghs :—" At 2 a.m. yesterday a comet Avas seen nearly duo south. At 2.5 p.m. a lurid mass shot through the sky, and Avas followed by a loud rumbling noise as of an explosion. It was N.E. to S.E."
