MAILS CLOSE For Gisborne and Auckland, per Southern Cross, to-morrow, at 6 p.m. For tho Sandwich Islands, America, West Indies, the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, &c, via San Francisco, on Saturday, Stb. of December, at noon. Money orders close at 10 a.m., registered letters at 11 a.m., and books and newspapers at 11.30 a.m. Tho Waipara leaves Hokitika for Okarito on the 11 th proximo and .for Jackson's Bay and intermediate ports on the 10th January next.
