Post entrance, 1 soy. Catch Aveights. Consolation Handicap—Of 25 soa-s. Distance, 1 mile. Entrance, 1 soy. For all beaten horses (hacks excepted). Nominations to bo made beforo the start for the Hack Race, and acceptances to bo notified to the Clerk of the Scales not later than 15 minutes after declaration of the weights. Rules and Regulations. No entry will be received for any race except upon the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by the SteAvards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall be final. No qualification fee. The rules and weights of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club will be strictly adhered to. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes. Horses Avalking over will receive 50 per cent, of tho stakes. All nominations, acceptances, and general entries, accompanied by tho necessary amount in cash, must be addressed to the Secretary, and left at the Criterion Hotel, Napier, not later than 8 p.m. on the several undernoted dates. "Hack Hurdle Horse " is a horse that has never started in a weight-for-age or handicap hurdle race or steeplechase. The winner of any handicap, after the declaration of weights, of £100, to carry 71b penalty, of £50 to carry 51b penalty. Maiden Plate—Of 25 soys., distance, 1| miles, weight-for-age; entrance£2 10s. For all horses that have never won 10 soys. or over at time of entry, hack races excepted. Any horse Avinning £25 after time of entry to carry 71b penalty. No person alloAved to enter a horso unless he is a subscriber of at least ono guinea to the Club. All disputes, claims, or objections to be decided by a majority of the steAvards, or whom they may appoint, Avhose decision shall be final. All protests to be accompanied with a deposit of two guineas, to be forfeited if the protest is considered frivolous. Three horses to start in each race, or only half the money will be given. "Hack" shall mean a horse that has never started in a weight-for-age or handicap race. Nominations for the Maiden Plato (with ages of horses and colors of riders). Handicap Hurdle Race, W.C.R.C. Handicap, and tho Railway Handicap, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, must bo left with the secretary at Kaikora not later than 8 p.m. on the Sth of December. Weights Avill appear on the 15th of December. Acceptances for the Handicap Hurdlo Race, W.C.R.C. Handicap, and the Railway Handicap, accompanied by the neces • sary amount in cash, and colors of riders, must be left with the secretary not later than 8 p.m. on the 22nd of December. Five per cent, deducted from the gross amount of all stakes. All races run under the H.B. Jockey Club rules and weights.
