The election for Mayor, AA'hich is taking place to-day, is creating a great deal of excitement.

The polling for the election of Mayor to-day is causing considerable excitement in the city. The contest Avill be close, but it is generally believed that Mr Hulbert will bo elected.
Dunedin, This day. The polling -for the City Mayoralty will
be tho heaviest known for years. It is impossible to say who will succeed, the chances of all the candidates being equal.
