Dunedin, This day
At the inquest on William Johnston, the evidence shoAved that deceased was in a A-ery depressed state of mind consequent on his inability to obtain employment. He Avas indebted to the Postal Department for £2 15s for stamps, and could not pay the amount. A verdict of suicide by strychnine Avhile temporarily insane Avas returned.
