Dunedin, llus day.

A bold attempt at burglary was made during Saturday night at Mr Montagu's faneybazaar in'the Cutting, but fortunately no loss was sustained. The would-be thieves then made a clean sweep of the more valuable articles in the windows and iv other parts of the shop, putting their plunder into a large bag'-. Something must, however, have alarmed them at this juncture, for on signs of the attempted burglary being observed during Sunday, and the shop being opened by the proprietor, a vast quantity of articles were found in tho bag, which was lying on the shop floor.
