ADVANCE OF EL MAHDI, THE FALSE PROPHET, INTO EGYPT.

CAIRO. November 2G. Intelligence is to hand from Khartoum, a large town in Upper Nubia,, that El Mahdi, with a great following, is now in close proximity to that places und has stopped all supplies from entering. It is feared that the rebels arc about to attack the town, and tho population, numbering nearly .30,000, are paiiie-strieken, hundreds having already fled from their homes.
