SERIOUS TURN TO A PRACTICAL JOKE.
Blenheim, Ims day. At the R.M. Court at Havelock yesterday Moses Frar, a publican, AVilliam Bignold, a batman, Mr McNab, a solicitor, and Dr. McDonagh were charged with administering croton oil to an informant named Horton. Tho affair is said to have arisen out of a practical joke, but the Bench committed all four defendants for trial at the next sittings of tho Supreme Court.
