iAOveniuur _ i. At the wool sale to-day 10,000 bales were catalogued. The tone of the auction was firm, and there Avas a good demand for Australian crossbrals. The honiCAvard mails via Brindisi, which left Melbourne on October 11, Avere delivered in London to-day. November 22. The secretary of the Loudon and San Francisco Bank has absconded. Tho defalcations arc stated to amount to £50,000.
