THE folloAving provisions of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1870," relative to drainage, arc published for general information, and NOTICE is hereby given that on and after the Ist of December next tho Council -will strictly enforce the huv relating to making drains to connect premises yvith the main sewers. Municipal Corporations Act, 1870, Clause 221. "IF any land or building within the borough, lying yvithin one hundred feet from the sea or from a public drain, can be and is not drained by some pipe or drain to the satisfaction of the Couucil, the Council may make such drain as it thinks necessary to carry the drainage of such building to tho sea or to such public drain, and may recover the cost of such Avork, not exceeding one year's rack rent ©f such land or building from the owner or occupier thereof."
