The statue of Geimania on the Rhine at Mederwald, near Rudesheim, avus unveiled with great ceremony by the Emperor William and the Crown Prince on September 28. News has been received in Dublin of the death at Lourdes of Mr Daniel O'Sullivan, avlio, as Mayor of Cork, in 1808, created such a stir iv the political Avorld. The funeral of the Avould-bo murderer and suicide, David Mackny, at Aston, near Birmingham, aviis made the occasion of a most remarkable demonstration. Maokay, who was formerly tho manager at Kynock's Ammunition Works, at Witton, attempted to murder his Avife, who was jealous.
