The Hon. S. W. Griffiths has successfully effected tho formation of a Ministry in succession to the Mclhvraith Government, and the various portfolios haA-e been allotted as follows :—Premier and Colonial Secretary, Hon. S. W. Griffiths; Colonial Treasurer, Mr J. R. Dickson ; PostmasterGeneral, Mr J. Garrick ; Attorney-Gene-ral, Mr A. R. Routledge; Secretary of Public Works, Mr A. Miles : Secretary of Public Lands, Mr Dultori; Avithout portfolios, Mr Sheridan.
A destructive cyclone "passed over the toAvn of ToOAVoomba to-day. The gasworks Avere totally destroyed by the violence of the winel, the manager being killed. Other damage to a considerable extent was done to buildings and property along the path of the storm.
