THE NEW MINISTER.—RESIGNATION OF MR JOHNSTON.
Auckland, This day. Mr Mitchelson, tho member for Marsden, has been offered and has accepted a seat in the Cabinet with tho portfolio of Public Works. The Hon. W. W. Johnston resigns his office within a fortnight, and Mr Mitchelson will enter on his official duties at once.
