The Artillery A r olunteers hold a special general meeting' in tho Foresters' Hall, Dickens-street, "ivt 8 o'clock to-night. Mr Ryan sells by auction at 11 a.m. tomorrow, at the "Wavcrley Temperance Hotel, opposite Cohen's Little Dustpan, the whole of Mrs Haddon's household furniture and effects. Application will be made to the Supreme Court at 11 a.m to-morrow for a declaration of complete execution of the deed of arrangement made by M. J. Skinner for tho benefit of his creditors. Mr Lyndon holds his monthly land sale at his mart at 2 p.m. to-morrow, when properties in Napier, Hastings, and the Arlington estate will be submitted to competition. Acceptances for the handicaps to be run at the Petane races on tho Oth proximo close at the Petane Hotel to-morrow. A lodge of the Ancient Order of Druids will bo opened at Hastings to-morrow ovenin_r. Member.-, of the Philosophical Institute who may not receive a copy of tho pamphlet written for them, and now published, are informed that copies of same may be had of Mr Craig, bookseller. A special train in connection with tho opening of the lodge of Druids at Hastings will run fromNapierat 7 o'clock to-morrow evening, returning after the completion of the ceremony. Tho corn sacks, for which tenders are invited by the Hawke's Bay County Council, must be delivered at tho Napier raihvay station within seven days of acceptance of tender, and tho tender is to state weight of bales. A lodge of the Protestant Alliance Friendly Society will be opened at Hastings on Friday evening. Mr Ryan sells on Friday a- number of Fijian curiosities, and a quantity of furniture, produce, &c. A puzzle of an interesting nature appears in various parts of this issue. Mr F. AY. Garner has the goodwill and business of a country storekeeper for sale. Mr John Orr, Port Ahuriri, has a quantity of fowl wheat for sale. Mr P. F. Colledge has been appointed creditors' trustee in"the bankrupt estate of 'J. T. Cassin. The Commissioner of Crown Lands announces that certain lands in the Pohui, Maungaiiaruru, and Waitara survey districts have been withdrawn from sale. A bay gelding has been impounded at Hastings, and, if not redeemed, will be sold on the 13th proximo. All overdue accounts owing to Mr George Hastings, Hastings, are requested to be paid at once. MrH. P. Mortcnsen, of Norsewood, has applied to tho Land Board to transfer his interest in section 3, Block 111., Norsewood survey district, to Mr J. C. Thorescn, also of Norsewood. Messrs E. Beck and Co., importers, millers, and general merchants, Clive and Hastings, have now on hand and opening up the bulk of their spring and summer goods. Mrs AVilkes has a three-roomed cottage on Milton Terrace to let. An unfurnished sitting-room and bedroom on the hills is to lot. Tho November time-table of the Union Steamship Company is published. A number of new advertisements will be found in our " Wanted" column.
