A.O.F. DISTRICT MEETING.

The annual meeting of the Hawke's Bay District of Foresters was held in the Foresters' Hall, Dickens-street, last evening. Present: D.C.R. Bro. S. Baddely (in the chair), and the following delegates : — Court Sir Charles Napier, Bros. Gilberdancl Sidey; Court Captain Cook, Bros AVard and Beecham ; Court Sir Henry Havelock, Bros. Chapman and O'Brien; Court Lord Clyde, Bros. M'Leod and Scholes; Court Robin Hood, Bros. Briggs and Cranby; Court Ruahine, Bros. Butler and Garner ; Court Heretnunga, Bros. Knight und Cook : Court Little John, Bros. Michaelson and Staines.

The report and balance - sheet, which wore unanimously adopted, showed tho following figures:—New members initiated, 75 ; total members in district, 47S ; sick pay distributed, £185 10s 2d ; funeral benefits, £50 ; amount to credit of sick and funeral fund, £2531 17s 9cl; amount to credit of management fund, £134 Os Od : total credit balance, £2005 18s 3d. It was resolved that £150 be invested in tho Napier Savings Bank in the names of the District Trustees.

The following appointments were made by the meeting:—Bro. McLcod, auditor; Bros. AVard and Briggs, additional members of Appeal Committee ; and tlie District Executive was empowered to arrange for the appointment of an auditor to value all the Courts in the district.

The election of district officers resulted as follows, and the brethren uppuinted were duly invested:—D.C.R., Bro. J. Parker: D.S.C.R., Bro. G. AVootton ; D.8., Bro. J. G. Gilberd ; District Trustees, Bros. 11. Chapman, J. G. Gilberd, and J. AY. McDougali. It was decided to hold the next district mootiuy at Napier. Some routine business having- been transacted the proceedings came to an end. A dinner was given to tho delegates in tho evening at Mr AVaterworth's Provincial Hotel, where an excellent spread was discussed.
