Tlie Victoria Amateur Turf Club had a second day's races to-day, when the following was tho result of the race for the CAULEIELI) CUP, H miles. Mr D. S. AVallaeVs Calma, 4yrs, by Yattendou —London Pride .. .. 1 Mr T. Brown's Stockdalo, Gyrs, by Maribyniong— Stockdove .. .. 2 Mr S. G. Cook's Anglesey, 3yrs, by ITawthorudou —Algeria .. .. 3 The following horses started : —Sir Moddred, Tho Gem, Sardonyx, Fryingpan, Boolka, Stockdalo, Nicholas, Calma, Yatcly, Anglesey, Footstep, Malna, Belmont, The Joker, Squireen, Dukedom, Spark, Prodigal, Josephine, Kohinoor, AVestbury, Kathleen Mavourncen, Tablotop, Norfolk, and Tho King's Son. A good start was effected. Footstep was the first to got away, The King's Son and Fryingpan following, the Gem last. Footstep continued to lead when passing the stand the first time, but was overtaken at the first turn by Prodigal, who led the field at the other side of the course. At the home turn Yatcly was leading, with The Joker well up. Fryingpan then came to the front and led as they entered the straight, but Calma was well up at this point, looking dangerous, and finally cainc up with a rush, and without being" pushed won easily by a length, Stookdale second, Anglesey third. Time 2mins 42sc°.s. The race was a good one throughout. Tho weather was splendid, and tlie attendance enormous.
