LONDON. October 18. The homeward mails via Naples, from Melbourne on September sth, per Orient steamship Potosi, were delivered hero today. The Oriental Bank Corporation declares no dividend for tho past half-year, but carries forward £30,000 to tho reserve fund. October 19. Throe men named Agricus, Bracken, and Holmes have been arrested at Halifax with dynamite in their possession. Supposed infernal machines containing clock Avork Avcrc also found upon thorn. The prisoners aro suspected of being Fenian emissaries. Dr. Benson, the Archbishop of Canterbury, is suffering from fistula, and an operation for its removal is to be performed to-morroAv. A serious explosion occurred to-day in a coal mine near Barnsley, Yorkshire. According to the latest reports tAventy miners have boon killed and a number injured.
