Scotland's Pride gained the first prize as the best three-year-old at the Highland Society's Show, and also tho Prince of Wales' prize of 40 guineas for tho best marc in tho yard. Overdraft's dnm, Highland Mary, has only succumbed in tho showyard to her own mother, Violet (dam of Lord Castlereagh and Lady Burdotte), Avho Avas shown fourtceu times and won thirteen first prizes. It Avill be seen by reference to the above that Overdraft is closely related to tho best horses in tho Avorld. He gained first prize as a yearling at Timaru, first prize as a two-year-old and first prize as a three-year-old at the Hawke's Bay Shows in ISS2 and 1883. Overdraft is a bright bay, with dark points. He stands IG-2 on short legs, with Avondcrfully powerful bono and substance. He avill be limited to twenty approved marcs at 6 guineas each, which fee Avill be returned should a marc not prove in foal.
