All disputes, claims, or objections to bo decided by a majority of the stewards, or whom they may appoint, whoso decision shall be final. All protests to be accompanied with a deposit of two guineas, to be forfeited if the protest is considered frivolous. Three horses to start in each race, or only half the money will bo given. "Hack" shall moan a horse that has never .started in a weight-for-age or handicap race. Nominations for the Maiden Plate (with ages of horses and colors of riders). Handicap Hurdle Race, W.C.R.C. Handicap, and tho Railway Handicap, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, must be left with the secretary at Kaikora not later than 8 p.m. on the Bth of December. Weights will appear on tho 15th of December. Acceptances for tbe Handicap Hurdle Race, W.C.R.C. Handicap, and tho Railway Handicap, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, and colors of riders, must be left Avith tho secretary not later than 8 p.m. on the 22nd of December. Five per cent, deducted from the gross amount of all stakes. All races run under the 11.8. Jockey Club rules and -weights.
