Tho now double bass instrument was subjected to inspection and pronounced to have excellent quality of tone, t is certainly an acquisition to the orchestra. Browne, addressed a few words to the performers in referenco to tho presentation of the forthcoming concert to bo held in the Theatre Royal ou Tuesday, the 16th October.
