Tho local agent of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, limited, has received tho following telegram from the London office of the company, under date the 2.') tit inst.:—Wool.—Competition is increasing, and tho market is firmer. Foreign buyers arc operating with more confidence. Up to date 202,000 bales have been sold, of which 131,000 have been taken for export. The sale programme has been further curtailed by two days.
