News has been received from the west coast of Africa that tribal hostilities have again broken out in Ashantee. A severe battle has been fought at Coomassie, resulting in the defeat of the adherents of King Calcalli, who suffered great slaughter, and has been compelled to retreat from the capital towards tho country occupied by the Gamanes, one of the tribes who are opposed to the King.
