SALVATION ARMY.
[To Tine Editor ov tkk Daily Tkleoiupii.] Sik.-—Hearing that we fire about to have a visit from some delegates of the Salvation Army, it is to be hoped that the authorities will not allow any tin whistle band processions through the streets. I. see it caused a serious accident at Tiinaru. The commanding oflieer will naturally wish to make an entrance a Iα militairc, and would be vastly disappointed to be obliged to arrive will lout blast of trumpets and flourish of tin whistles. But 1 think that if the advance agent bills the town well with posters, and inserts startling advertisements in the local newspapers, they will find it quite sufficient to draw good houses. I hear that the performance is immensely funny, and it will be quite a novelty here.—l am, kv.., Chorus. September 18, LSSo.
