ESCAPED MURDERERS.
A curious talc of the sea is reported from Knrrachee. Somo time ago an Italian ship Avhile off the Andamans jacked up three men in a very exhausted state, one being quite insensible. They Avere taken to Liverpool, ami thence to London, Avhere they found an asylum in tho Strangers' Home, and received very kind treatment. They stated that they Avere fishermen from Kurrachee, and that about eight months ago thoy went out of tho harbor at that port on a raft, and remained fishing- for about an hour, when a violent storm carried them out. to sea, so that for 25 days they avctc left to the mercy of the waves, the only food they had being the fish caught daily. After a stay of three months in London they Avero sent to Bombay, and handed over to the police, avlio made enquiries as to tho truth of the men's story, but Avithout any satisfactory result. The men were then sent on to Kurrachee under an escort, Avith instructions from Sir Frank Souter that they Avero to bo set at large if the story proved true. The Kurrachee police enquired into the matter, and within a very short time discovered that the pseudo fishermen avctc no other than three escaped convicts from Port Blair. It appears that the men, Avhose names are Loog Tay, a Burmese, Tcgla and Jcwa, Mahommedans, with eleven other convicts, escaped on 23rd July last. Tho former Avas convicted about nine years ago of Avifc murder, and sentenced to eleven years' transportation ; tho two latter are brothers, and Avere also convicted of murder, and sentenced to transportation for life. They were sent back to Bombay under a proper escort, and Avill bo despatched to the Andamans a. hen tho necessary arrangements have been made.
