HONG- KONG.
September 11. News has been received from Canton that a Chinese mob. incensed by the accidental drowning of a Chinese tout who attempted to board the steamship Hankow, set fire to and destroyed several houses on the whfirf. Foreigners have been compelled to take refuge on board the shipping, and the Chinese troops have been called out to restore order. Three gunboats have left this port for Canton to protect tho Europeans.
