No entry will bo received for any race except upon the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall bo decided by the Stewards, or whom they may and their decision upon all points shall bo final. All protests must he accompanied with a deposit of 5 soy., which sum shall be forfeited to the funds if the protest is not sustained. All nominations, acceptances, &c. ; accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, must bo addressed to tho secretary, and left at the Criterion Hotel, Napier, not later than 8 p.m. on tho several specified dates. General entry night, Tuesday, September 25. Tho rules and weights of the Hawko's Bay Jockey Club, as in force at the date of tho meeting, will bo strictly adhered to. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes.
