[by telegraph.] Dunedin", Saturday. Tho Hunt Club races took place to-day. The jumping, except in tho Welter Steeplechase, was very poor. The attendance was poor, and the ground was heavy. The following aro the results : —■ TALLY-HO STEEPLECHASE, Of 80 soys., 2\ miles. Encore (Joyce) .. " ~ ~ 1 Little John (Poole) .. .. 0 Only the two started. Little John resolutely refused to take the water jump. FLAT RACE, Of 65 soys., mile and a distance. Taiaroa (0 'Connor) .. .. 1 Sunlight 2 Adamant .. .. .. 3 Miss King, Hyacinth, and Prospcro also ran. Won by half a head. Time, 2mins. Usees. In the Maiden Steeplechase everything refused and foil but Tichborne, the winner. WELTER HANDICAP STEEPLES, Of GO soys. Wild Boy 1 Littlo John .. .. .. 2 Shillelagh 3 Eight started.
