STEAM TO LONDON. aj v\ rriHE magnificent new e5 X —steel steamship— "Doric," The latest "addition to tho celebrated Whito Star fleet, 4753 tons register, 3000 horsepower, Metcalfe, Commander, will be despatched as above from Lyttolton, about the 26th of September. This vessel, now on her maiden voyage front London, is fitted throughout in the newest and most complete manner. The Saloon is amidships, and is luxuriously furnished. The slcoping cabins are large, airy, and elegantly fitted. A smok-ing-room, ladies' boudoirs, four bath-rooms, and a barber's room is included in tho Saloon accommodation. Tho Second Class and Steerage quarters are of a superior eharactor, well provided with lavatories, and having ample promenade Bpncc. It is intended that the steamer shall call jit Rio de Janeiro, so justly celebrated for tho loveliness of its scenery. Cargo is now being received in_Lyttelton and stored free of charge, for which special arrangements must be made. The saloon and state cabins aro superbly fitted and arranged and provided with every requisite for the comfort of the passengers, who are provided with bedding and all cabin fittings. The dietary Bcale is most liberal. Second-class and eteerage accommodation is all that could be desired, and the ships aro commanded by experienced masters. The Company also charters ships of the highest class as required, and vessels are despatched from London to each of tho principal ports of tho colony with strict punctuality every month. The Company has also ships loading homeward from New Zealand. LIVERPOOL AGENCY. A Branch has been established in Liverpool, and vessels will bo despatched at suitable intervals to the principals ports in New Zealand. NEW YORK AGENCY. Messrs R. W. Cameron and Co. have been appointed Agents for this Company, and a regular line of vessels will be laid on for tho various ports in this colony to meet the requirements of the trade.
