The British India Steam Navigation Company's new .steamer Nuddea, sailing from Glasgow on the 20 th instant for Queensland" with immigrants, is working under the bounty system. The company intend despatching other steamers with bounty immigrants at intervals, in addition to their regular fortnightly steamers to Queensland. A succession of gales of extraordinary violence have been experienced during the last two days. The Lady Jocelyn, outward bound, put into Spithead for repairs. The City of Tanjore was jettissoncd of 90 tons of cargo, and put back. The Sydenham, Aldborough, Legards, and Cayinburg have put into various ports for repairs. A fair demand for the various lots offered was generally experienced at to-day's wool sale. Port Phillip and Sydney greasy wools, however, are W to Id lower than at last sales.

The Times to-day publishes a telegram from Hong Kong stating that the French commander has informed the Chinese Government that ho will blockado tho ports of Pakhoi and Canton unless the Chinese troops now on the Tonquiu frontier at once withdraw.
