CONTINUANCE OF TIDAL DISTURBANCES.
CiißisTCiiUßCir, This day. The movement of yesterday's tides at Lyttelton was still irregular. At 3 p.m. the tide rose 7 feet 11 inches, which would be quite two feet more than ordinary high water. Then it fell four feet within _an hour, and again rose six inches, showing that the submarine disturbance had not spent itself on Tuesday night and Wednesday. The water in the harbor was also thick and muddy.
