THE GERMAN GOVERNMENT AND THE POSTAL CONFERENCE.
SYDNEY AGRICULTURAL EXHIBITION. THE ASSEMBLY OF THE NEAV SOUTH AVALES PARLIAMENT. MEMORIAL TcTaRCHBISHOP VAUGHAN. MELBOURNE. This day. A communication has been received from the German Government in reply to Mr Berry's intimation as to tho results of the Postal Conference held in Sydney in May last. The State Secretary of tho German Postal Department, writing on behalf of his Government, states that it would be impossible to countenance the demand of the colonies for separate votes in the affairs of tho Postal Union, and urges that the question should be left to the vote of the international convention next year.
