[To the Editor of the Daily Telegraph.] Sib,—l road a local in your yesterday's issue saying that the committee of the district school has selected Miss Gilroy to be assistant first mistress and rejected Mrs A Scales because sho Avas a young wife. This means, I think, Sir, that if Miss Gilroy were appointed sho must remain in single blessedness, and prove a Avarning to tho other young lady teachers who hold situations in tho Napier district school.—l am, V &c, Jericho.
