Friday. Tho Council met at 2.30 p.m. THIS CASK OF JIB. E. FV. WAIW. lii reply to Mr Reynolds, Mr "Whitaker declined to lay on tho tabic a report by v Inspector Scully on the case of E. if. Ward, as it was a confidential report. Mr Reynolds then gave notice to move for tho appointment of a secret committee to inquire into tho matter. DIIjLS. The "Waitara Harbor Board Loan Bill wan road a second time. Tho Pharmacy Act Amendment Bill, the Invcrcargill Reserves Exchange Vesting and Empowering- Bill, the Mining Companies Act 1872 Amendment Bill, and the Chattels Securities Bill were read a third time and passed. Tho Bankruptcy Bill was recommitted and further amended. Tho Council rose at 5 p.m.
