Tho loyal Spanish troops have suppressed the mutineers, and the Government declares the rebellion over. No superior officers joined in it. It is reported that disagreements exist in the English Cabinet on the alleged outrages on British interests at Tamatave, Mr Gladstone being inclined to take a favorable view of the French explanations. August 10. The Gympsc leaguers have addressed a petition to the Radical members of Parliament, urging upon them the necessity of Ireland receiving similar liberty as the colonies.
M. Rcyron, French Minister of Marinct approves of Admiral Pierre's operations a Madagascar. He intends to organise a Sakalaiid militia.
