CLAIM FOR DAMAGES.
Ciiristciiurcii, This day. Tho Supreme Court Avas occupied all yesterday Avith the action of Fuchs against the Union Steamship Company for £1000 damages, plaintiff having had a foot crushed during an excursion trip by the Wakatipu to Akaroa in April last for the benefit of the Lyttelton Sailors' Home. The defenco is that the accident was caused by some passengers running out the staging before tho vessel was moored. Tho case Avas not concluded when the Court rose.
