FINDING OF A SUICIDE'S BODY.

The body of the unfortunate young man Allan, who was supposed to have committed suicide by drowning , himself on Sunday, 29th ultimo, was found floating in tho harbor early yesterday morning-, close to the spot from where lie is suspected to have thrown himself into the water. In the pockets of the dead man's clothing were found several letters addressed to himself from various writers and from different parts of New Zealand and elsewhere. His Post Office Savings Bank book was also found upon him, and showed that ho had a sum of £16 10s to his credit in the bank, and that the last deposit was made just a week prior to his death. In addition he had a watch and chain, and several rings an his fingers, besides about £2 or £3 in money. The whole of tho man's face was eaten away. Allan served his apprenticeship as a coachmaker in Dunedin.
