Tho steam launch Bella, Capt. Green, returned from Mohaka at 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon, bringing a part cargo of maize, wheat, and empty casks.
The Union Company's steamer Manapouri, Captain Logan, is to leave Wellington for Northern ports at 5 p.m. this day, and should bo in our roadstead at about midday to-morrow. She will be tendered a.s usual on arrival for mails and passengers by the launch, and by the lighters for her eai'go, some 60 tons. Her time of departure for G-isborno and Auckland is 4 p.m. toniori'ow.
The steamer Fairy, Captain John Campbell, returned from Wairoa at 3.30 p.m. yesterday, and in the evening .steamed for Te Apiti mid Pourerere Avith a cargo of stores.
The .s.s. Maori, Capt. Anderson, got away for Wairoa shortly after 12 o'clock last night, taking three passengers and a good cargo. Tho Union Company's .steamer Tarawera, Capt. Sinclair, was to have left Auckland at noon to-day for Melbourne via the South, and is due here at daylight cm Sunday morning. Her outward mails and passengers are now announced to leave the wharf at 11 o'clock on Sunday morning, instead of noon a.s advertised yesterday.

The Merchant Shipping , and Underwriters' Association report the arrival of the ships Arabella from Lyttclton (left Mayo), Castle Holme from Lyttclton (left May 2), and Northumberland from Melbourne (left March 3) via St. Helena. San Fuaxcisco, August 8.
The steamship Australia, with the homeward mails dated Auckland, July 17th, arrived here to-day. Sydney, Thursday.
Sailed, this afternoon, City of New York for Sun Francisco, via Auckland, with £128,000 Avorth of specie.

The steamship British King- arrived at the heads at G a.m. yesterday, and was berthed at Port Chalmers three hours later. The passage occupied 4o days 10-1- hours from Plymouth, and 21 days io hours from the Cape. She made an average of 13 knots from the Cape, the best days work being 333 miles. She brings 2000 tons of cargo, two-thirds of which is for Duncdin, and 101) passengers. Mrs Miller, a steerage passenger, diod during , the voyage.
