[BY TELEORAriI.] Ghristciitrch, This day

Beautiful weather greeted those who patronised the Hunt Club Steeplechase yesterday, but the patrons of the sport were unfortunately not very numerous. HUNT CLUB' CUP UANMCAI' STEKI'I.ECHASE. Of s;> soys., with a sweepstake of 50 soys. each for acceptors; the second horse to receive 10 soys. from the stake; for qualified horses that have never won any race (other than a qualified hunter's race) of the advertised value of 80 soys. ; about two-and-a-half miles. Bradley took tho wrong course with Molbourno before they had gone far, and, as Ravenswood came down, Tommy got a long lead, and was nover headed, winning as ho liked. Odds were laid on Ravenswood, Tommy being the outsider of the lot. TALLY-HO PLATE STEEPLECHASE, A sweep of 1 soy. each, with 25 soys. added; the second horse to save his stakes : hunters weight for age ; about two miles. Mr C. J. Refusals reduced the field to small dimensions beforo they had gone far, and at the mile from home only Canary, Traitor, Linwood, and Tommy had the ghost of a show. Canary and Tommy landed over the last fence together, and a good race home ended in a half length victory for Canary. OPEN HANDICAP STEEPLECHASE, A sweepstake of 5 soys each, with 100 soys added; the second horse to receive 25 soys from the stakes;; about three miles. Mr D. Quaniby was in trouble six furlongs from home, and at that point the heavy ground also told on Clarence. Bateman 'and Hercules rose at the last fence together, and though Bateman had had as much as he liked a hundred yards from homo Cotton just kept him going long enough to win by the shortest- of heads from Hercules. HUNTERS' FLAT RACE. St. Clair 1 ■ —Eight others ran. CONSOLATION HANDICAP. Ravenswood, 12st 71b .. ~1 -—Four others ran.
