[BY TELEORAriI.] Ghristciitrch, This day
Beautiful weather greeted those who patronised the Hunt Club Steeplechase yesterday, but the patrons of the sport were unfortunately not very numerous. HUNT CLUB' CUP UANMCAI' STEKI'I.ECHASE. Bradley took tho wrong course with Molbourno before they had gone far, and, as Ravenswood came down, Tommy got a long lead, and was nover headed, winning as ho liked. Odds were laid on Ravenswood, Tommy being the outsider of the lot. Refusals reduced the field to small dimensions beforo they had gone far, and at the mile from home only Canary, Traitor, Linwood, and Tommy had the ghost of a show. Quaniby was in trouble six furlongs from home, and at that point the heavy ground also told on Clarence. Bateman 'and Hercules rose at the last fence together, and though Bateman had had as much as he liked a hundred yards from homo Cotton just kept him going long enough to win by the shortest- of heads from Hercules.
