PORT OF NAPIER

Tho Union Steamship Company's steamer Southern Cross, Capt. Allman, is to leave Gisbornc to-night, and should be in the roadstead by to-morrow morning early. She will discharge her cargo, some 30 tons, inside, and at 2" o'clock to-morrow is announced to steam for Wellington. The prevailing southerly weather having raised a heavy sea on the Wairoa bar, the steamers Maori and Fairy have boon delayed in their departure until a more favorable opportunity occurs. Wo learn that the three-mased schooners Silver Cloud and Frank Guy arrived at Newcastle and Wamnambool respectively on Tuesday last, and that they will be leaving for this port on Saturday, the former with a cargo of coal, and the latter with potatoes. Tho Union Company's steamer Wairarapa, Ca.pt. CliatKold, was to have left Auckland for Gisbornc and Napier at noon to-day, is due here on Saturday morning, and is announced to steam for Southern ports and Melbourne at 2 p.m. the .same tiny.
