ENFORCING THE SHEEP ACT.
Kaikouka, This day. The Kaikoura sheepfarmcrs have received notice to immediately remove all scab from their flocks. The minimum penalty under the Act is £1 per diem, and maximum £10 per diem for each sheep. It is impossible to muster the nocks now, as the weather is very tempestuous, and the ranges arc partially covered with snow. Two months must elapse before the flock can be mustered. The minimum penalty in the smallest ilock amounts to iMoOO. * The working of the Sheep-Act is creating in this district the utmost amount of dissatisfaction throughout the country umon# all classes.
