A most disastrous earthquake litis been experienced on the Island of Isohia, situated opposite the Bay of Naples. The town of Cassamiciola has been almost totally destroyed, and it is estimated that fully ono thousand persons have been killed, besides a hundred more or less seriously injured. Boatloads of killed and wounded are arriv- ■*-
ing here hourly from the Island, and much anxiety and excitement prevails.
